Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Engineer to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure, including computer systems, servers, networks, and software environments. The ideal candidate will ensure system availability, resolve technical issues, and support the smooth operation of day-to-day IT services.

What you’ll do

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and operating systems.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system configurations.
• Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance.
• Maintain IT documentation, asset records, and technical procedures.
• Ensure system security through access controls and security best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and basic Linux administration.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with system administration and IT infrastructure management.
• Understanding of Active Directory, user management, and access controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with network monitoring and backup solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications.
